Pasta Pesto with Peas

A simple and delicious pasta dish made with store-bought pesto and frozen peas. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a weeknight meal.
Ingredients
- 500g dried penne pasta (or other pasta)
- 1 jar (190g) store-bought pesto sauce
- 200g frozen peas
- 100g grated Parmesan cheese, plus extra for serving
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions in a large pot of salted boiling water.
- While the pasta is cooking, add the frozen peas to the boiling water for the last 2-3 minutes.
- Drain the pasta and peas and return them to the pot.
- Stir in the pesto sauce and Parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese, if desired.
Storage
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or in a saucepan over low heat.
