Penne with a kind of Ragu
Penne with a kind of Ragu. Which I am to understand is a meaty, tomatoey italian sauce for with pasta and stuff. In this case soya mince was used which once in the sauce it probably doesn’t really taste that different.
Ingredients
- mushrooms
- courgette
- tomato
- yellow pepper
- soya mince
- tin of tomato puree
- tomato passata
- penne
- parmesan (grana padano)
- (Optional) Onion
- (Optional) Garlic
Steps
- Peel the garlic cloves and place in a small bowl for later.
- Peel the onions make sure to remove the harder outer peels. Chop finely and place with the garlic cloves.
- Fry the garlic and onion and then add the mushrooms with some salt
- Add the chopped courgette, mushroom and yellow pepper
- Put the pasta on to boil
- Add the soya mince and let it fry for a minute
- Add the tomato passata and tomato puree and let the sauce simmer
- Serve the pasta with a topping of sauce, springle the parmesan on top
